Africa is experiencing the most rapid urbanization in the world today, and has 65% of her over 1.1billion population under the age of 35years. According to a Mo Ibrahim report of 20121, it is estimated that between 2000 and 2100, Africa will gain 340 million young people, compared to a net increase of 137 million in the whole world, due to diminishing cohorts in Europe, Latin America and Asia and this will increase the continent’s share of the global youth population from 15% to 41%.
This is for the youth across Africa and beyond.
This is for all those who believe in the potential of young people and support youth development. The future will be bright through your efforts. Happy International Youth Day
