Goal of the Awards.
The African Youth Excellence Awards seeks primarily to challenge innovation and, acknowledge and reward young people in diverse fields that have distinguished themselves particularly in Africa and the globe as a whole for community and national development. The African Youth Excellence Awards further seeks to inform and to educate young people that not only does society recognize deviant behavior and correct accordingly but exceptional feats are observed and celebrated as such. The overriding theme “celebrating youth action, inspiring the future” captures the broad objective of the initiative.
Dates: 12th August, 2011 (6.30pm) International Youth Day
Venue: Accra International Conference Centre, Ghana
The African Youth Excellence Awards will be held on the International Youth Day to climax the African Youth and Governance Conference, Accra 2011 scheduled for August 10-12.
Laureates will receive prices comprising of a plaque, cash prize and other corporate sponsorship.
