The African Youth and Governance Conference, Accra 2009 was anchored on three pillars namely Youth Policy, Youth Participation and Empowerment and Youth Mobilisation (positive and negative). The 3 Pillars informed deliberations throughout the conference and action points were developed along these lines.  Delegates chose their Pillars of interest and were further divided into smaller working groups to discuss regions specific issues and develop workable solutions to them.
The groups met after deliberations to present a common paper during the plenary sessions. The plenary sessions afforded delegates the opportunity to listen to outcomes of deliberations from other pillars which they were not privy to. This ensured that each delegate was well informed about the proceedings of the conference.
Speakers and facilitators were culled from organizations and individuals with diverse backgrounds. Realizing Rights (USA) handled issues bordering on employability and decent work, UNFPA was responsible for sexual reproductive rights, gender mainstreaming and youth participation in national politics. The Ghana Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) coordinated and facilitated aspects of governance and policy and was assisted by the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice and the Federation of Youth Associations of Ghana (FEDYAG). In addition to these major facilitating organizations were individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise ranging from law to policy and governance.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
