BIDDING FOR THE 2011 AYG-CONFERENCE

The first ever AYG-Conference (2009) held in Accra, Ghana by the Youth Bridge Foundation in collaboration with the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) Ghana in August 2009 has made its mark in the circles of youth development in Africa.  The AYG-Conference gained recognition in both the host country (Ghana), and in several other countries from different parts of the globe. 

Delegates at the Conference agreed to make the Conference an annual event aimed at reviewing progress made in youth development across Africa.  In line with agreement, the Conference Secretariat is inviting bids from youth groups across Africa to host AYG-Conference 2010.Bidding for the hosting of AYG-Conference 2011 opens in February 2010 and closes in June 2010.

Selected bids will be shortlisted by the Conference secretariat by July 2010.

The secretariat will further screen the shortlisted bids and select the final four (4) bids before the commencement of the Conference on the 10th of August 2010. Representatives of the final four (4) bids will be expected to make presentations to the entire delegation and a panel of judges at the AYG-Conference 2010. The final winner will be announced at the African Youth and Excellence Awards Night on the final day of the conference i.e. 12th August 2010.

 
The criteria for selection will be released on a later date. All country representatives interested in hosting the 2011 edition of the Conference should start preparing their bidding.
